Welcome to St. Andrew & St. George’s Church, an inclusive, welcoming and caring Anglican church located in the heart of Stevenage on St. Georges Way. Our worship is in the liberal-catholic tradition of the Church of England. We are a broad community worshipping in faith – our vision is to celebrate and share God’s love.
We are open for services and we gather on a Sunday at 10 a.m. for our Parish Mass. Please check our news/events page to find out what is happening in the parish. We would love to meet you – we are open for mass twice a week and we have lots of space to allow for social distancing. Join us for Tea and Toast after our Tuesday morning service; come and have chat about anything, meet friends or make new ones.
We continue to operate with a request for everyone to wear a mask inside the building but we are now all singing with the choir at our Sunday service and we have refreshments after the services as well.
Our services for Holy Week and Easter are listed below. Do come and join us.
A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
